Circuit City to Open 7th Store in Southland

The seventh and final Circuit City home electronics and appliance store in the first round of Southern California openings is scheduled to open Wednesday in the former Akron store at 18020 Hawthorne Blvd., Torrance.
Other Circuit City stores have opened in Buena Park, Orange, Laguna Hills, Huntington Beach, West Los Angeles and most recently, in Woodland Hills, according to Ken Antos, president of the Western Division, Circuit City Stores Inc. Stores in Northridge, Pasadena, Hollywood, Montclair and the City of Commerce are scheduled to open in the first quarter of 1986.
Tanzmann Associates, Los Angeles, is the architect for the 31,100-square-foot Torrance store. Amie Gross Architect, New York, is the design architect. Bernards Bros. Inc., San Fernando, is the general contractor. Circuit City is based in Richmond, Va.
