Fountain Valley : 3 Rapes Reported at Neighboring Buildings
- Share via
Three Fountain Valley women living in neighboring apartment complexes have been raped, possibly by the same man, police said Wednesday.
Fountain Valley Police Detective Rick Christensen said the first two attacks, which occurred Nov. 4 and Nov. 9, had several similarities, which he declined to discuss. But investigators said the third rape, last Saturday, might have been committed by a different man, Christensen said.
The women probably were selected at random, Christensen said. No valuables were stolen, and the apartments were entered through unlocked windows.
The first attack occurred at the Sundance Apartments, and the others were at the Park Pacific apartments. Both complexes are near Mile Square Park.
Detectives have only a sketchy description of the assailant or assailants: White, 25 to 30 years old, with a thin build.
