Teradyne will lay off 400 local workers.

The workers, who will be laid off for two weeks beginning Dec. 23, come from the ranks of the 650 hourly and salaried employees at the company’s semiconductor test division plants in Woodland Hills and Agoura Hills. Boston-based Teradyne said the furloughs are needed to shrink its inventory of semiconductor test equipment.
