Women Golfers Will Shoot for Record $10.1 Million

HOUSTON — A 36-event tour worth a record $10.1 million in 1986 begins Jan. 23 with the Mazda Classic at the Stonebridge Golf and Country Club in Boca Raton, Fla., an official of the Ladies Professional Golf Assn. said.
The tour ends in December with the JC Penney Classic at the Bardmoor Country Club in Largo, Fla. During the year, at least 13 events will receive network or cable television coverage.
