S. Korean Dissident Under House Arrest

SEOUL, South Korea — Police placed South Korea’s leading dissident, Kim Dae Jung, under house arrest Friday for the fourth time in nine months, his aides said.
They said about 100 policemen were placed around his house after the local police chief notified him of the measure, designed to prevent Kim from attending a dissident meeting on alleged torture in South Korea.
