HARTFORD, Conn. — The hapless Kings (2-9), who have lost six of their last seven games, will play the Hartford Whalers tonight on the next-to-last stop of a six-game East Coast trip.
The Whalers (6-4), off to one of their best starts, have won their last two games.
Whaler right wing Kevin Dineen is expected to miss the game with a shoulder injury.
Sunday, the Kings will play the Flyers at Philadelphia. The Flyers lead the Patrick Division with a 7-2 record.
The Kings then return home for five games, beginning Wednesday night against Edmonton.
