Tunisian police raided and shut down the headquarters of the powerful General Union of Tunisian labor, which is locked in a bitter wage dispute with the government, union sources said. One report said that 450 people were arrested. the official news agency said police found many weapons, including iron bars, clubs, bicycle chains and stones, in the building.
