Women’s Volleyball Roundup : Second-Ranked Golden West Is Swept by No. 1 El Camino, 15-7, 15-8, 15-13

The El Camino College volleyball team, undefeated in its eight matches and ranked No. 1 in the state, swept second-ranked Golden West (7-2) by scores of 15-7, 15-8, 15-13 in Huntington Beach Wednesday in a nonconference match.
The Rustlers were led by middle blocker Cece Elias, who had five blocks, four kills and two aces.
In South Coast Conference action:
Orange Coast 3, Cypress 0--The Pirates (4-3, 5-4) beat the Chargers (0-7), 15-7, 15-7, 15-7 at Cypress. OCC middle blocker Barbara Bally had eight kills, Michelle Lazorek had six stuff blocks and setter Kim Rochow tallied five aces.
Cerritos 3, Rancho Santiago 0--The Falcons defeated the Dons, 15-5, 15-7, 15-8, at Rancho Santiago (3-4, 3-5). Don middle blocker Anne Oberschlake had 10 kills.
In Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. action:
Cal State Long Beach 3, Cal State Fullerton 0--The 49ers swept the Titans, 15-9, 15-13, 15-10, at Titan Gym.
The 18th-ranked 49ers (5-4, 11-7) were led by middle blocker Stacy Peoples, who recorded 22 kills and had a .545 hitting percentage. For Fullerton (1-9, 8-17), outside hitter Joan McGhee had 14 kills and Janet Kretschmar had eight kills.
