The Santa Ana-based Cherry division of Textron, Inc. has named Donald A. Eckerson as division president; Leo J. Ragan as vice president of Cherry Aerospace Fasteners and John W. Schaefer as vice president of Cherry Commercial Fasteners.
Eckerson, 51, had been division president of Menasco Overhaul and Product Support Division of Colt Industries in Burbank for 12 years before joining Cherry a year ago as vice president of Cherry Aerospace Fasteners. He replaces E.B. Buster, who has been appointed division chairman and will retire in February.
Ragan, 57, was vice president of Cherry Commercial Fasteners be fore replacing Eckerson. He has been with Cherry for 26 years. Schaefer, 43, had been plant manager for the commercial fasteners division for four years before his appointment.
