Moving in shortly after midnight, detectives arrested a fourth suspect in the killings of two university students. Donald Roy Bennett, 21, was arrested at his Firestone District home today and booked on suspicion of murder in the slayings of Brian E. Harris, 20, and Michelle Ann Boyd, 18, police said.
The bodies of the victims were found Sunday in the Santa Monica Mountains. They had last been seen alive about 11 a.m. Sept. 30, when they left Boyd’s Westwood apartment. Police accused Bennett and three members of a Southeast Los Angeles street gang of kidnaping and slaying the young couple to steal their car in order to commit another crime.
