With 50 seconds remaining and Poly ahead, 14-13, Marshall quarterback Raul Porras hit wide receiver Brice Brett on a 35-yard touchdown pass for the winning score. . . . The Parrots thought they had the game won a minute earlier when quarterback Donald Senegal hit Jerry Gilmore on a 60-yard touchdown pass. . . . With 2:50 remaining in the game, George Sosa of Marshall recovered a fumble by Senagal on Poly’s 20-yard line. . . . Three plays later, sophomore running back Charles Edwards ran 15 yards to put the Generals up 13-7.
KEY PLAYERS
Donald Senagal had 105 yards on 14 attempts including one touchdown. He put Poly up 7-0 on a 70 yard run in the first quarter. He also had 10 carries for 98 yards. . . . Slieman Abdullah (M) had two quarterback sacks to lead the Generals.
