NEW DELHI — A mouse delayed a Saudi Arabia-bound flight for over 20 hours before being killed with fumigants, the United News of India reported Wednesday.
The stowaway was detected by the crew at the port city of Trivandrum in southern India on an Air-India flight as 200 passengers prepared to board the jetliner.
After an unsuccessful chase, authorities fumigated the cockpit Wednesday before declaring the mouse dead.
The airliner finally departed Wednesday morning after passengers spent the night in a hotel.
