Furor over Farrakhan

As a matter of common sense, the Jewish leaders should have followed Mayor Bradley’s example and waited ‘till after Farrakhan’s appearance before they spoke out.
By raising so much fuss in advance, they gave the bigot far more publicity and far more public attention than he deserved.
We must speak out against bigotry, but let us use some judgment in how and when we do it.
