The U.S. mortgage delinquency rate fell.

The proportion of U.S. homeowners behind on their mortgage payments fell to the lowest level in a year during the second quarter of 1985, according to a survey by the Mortgage Bankers Assn. The survey also found that the number of home loans being foreclosed on declined slightly--from 0.24% in the first quarter to 0.23% in the second quarter.
