Vista’s Sanders Named Dominguez Hills Coach

SAN DIEGO — Mya Sanders of Vista has been named the head softball coach at Cal State Dominguez Hills.
Sanders, 25, played basketball, volleyball and softball for Vista High School before graduating in 1978. She was conference softball Player of the Year one season at Palomar College then continued her career as a pitcher at San Diego State.
Since earning her degree in physical education in 1983, Sanders has been an assistant softball coach at Palomar College and Santa Monica College.
