The City Council has allocated $57,000 to help fund a ride-share program for Century City, according to a spokesman for Councilman Zev Yaroslavsky. The program, which is entering its second year, also is supported by $40,000 from Century City businesses. The city’s funds come from a half-cent sales tax approved by voters in 1978 to deal with traffic problems.
