Gene Rodenberry, creator and producer of television’s “Star Trek” series, will be honored Wednesday with the 1,810th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He will be joined at the installation ceremony by most of the original cast and a host of “Trekkies”--loyal fans of the series.
The ceremony will begin at 12:30 p.m. at 6683 Hollywood Blvd., west of Musso & Frank’s Grill. Johnny Grant, honorary mayor of Hollywood and chairman of the Walk of Fame Committee, will serve as master of ceremonies. Bill Welsh, president of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce also will attend.
