A liquor store clerk was stabbed to death during a robbery on Monday, police reported.
Officers found the body of Kenneth Muck, 55, an employee of Aztec Liquor on El Cajon Boulevard, on the floor in a rear storage room. He had been stabbed numerous times in the chest, sides and stomach.
Police said Muck was robbed of the store receipts as he tried to close the store at 10 p.m. When the night burglar alarm was not set at the usual time, the alarm company notified the store owner. Another employee was sent to check the store and found the back door open.
