San Juan Capistrano : Computer-Theft Suspect Faces Burglary Charges
- Share via
A 20-year-old Laguna Niguel man who led Orange County sheriff’s deputies to a cache of stolen computers and computer components earlier this month, faces several felony charges arising from a string of school burglaries in south Orange County in July.
Nick Novick, deputy district attorney, said Monday that a 24-count burglary complaint was filed late last week against Anthony James Tassio.
According to Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Dick Olson, computer equipment recovered from the hiding place near La Paz Road in Laguna Niguel has been traced to break-ins at schools in the Capistrano Unified School District.
Tassio, who according to Olson was released after showing deputies where the computer equipment was being kept, is scheduled to be arraigned in South Orange County Municipal Court on Sept. 16.
