Perceptronics reported record sales of $4.9 million for its first quarter ended June 30, up 95% from last year’s first quarter.
Net income was up to $132,147, or 9 cents per share, contrasted with a net loss of $11,336, or 1 cent, for the corresponding period a year ago.
Perceptronics, based in Woodland Hills, is a defense contractor doing research and development of computer hardware and software systems. It also sells products derived from its research, including a line of table-top tank gunnery trainers.
The company’s improved performance was based on new research contracts and improved sales of the computer products, according to Gershon Weltman, chief executive officer and chairman of the board.
