The bodies of a man and woman said to be devoted fans of the Grateful Dead rock group were found floating in San Francisco Bay near the Berkeley Marina, and police said they had been shot to death in “execution-style.” A police spokesman identified the victims as Mary Regina Gioia, 22, of Schenectady, N.Y., and a man known only as “Greg,” who lived in Rainbow Village, a haven for transients near the Berkeley City Dump. Investigators said the pair appear to have followed the Grateful Dead concert tour across the United States.
