Nine houses were sold in two days during the opening of the fourth phase at Orangewood in Terra Vista, a single-family development of Lewis Homes in Rancho Cucamonga. Nearly 100 persons turned out for the opening. The houses range in price from $97,500 to $124,950. Lewis Homes, Upland, is the developer of Terra Vista, a $1-billion, 1,320-acre master-planned community that will eventually be home to about 9,200 families.
More than 30 single-family detached houses were sold in Cobblestone Village, a Covington Homes Southern California development in Sunnymead. The two-, three- and four-bedroom houses are priced from $63,990 to $84,990. The houses have received the “Smarter Home for the Money national grand award from Professional Builder magazine.
A recent weekend saw camp-outs at two Irvine Pacific Development Co. projects in Irvine, Princeton Townhomes, and Woodbridge Seasons, a single-family attached development with units priced from $118,000 to $149,000. Thirty-six buyers were camped out at the Princeton development and 21 were waiting for Woodbridge Seasons to open.
Despite prices ranging from $189,000 to $330,000, there were camp-outs at Regatta, a single-family Laguna Niguel development by Stein-Brief Development. Sixty-five houses were sold in a one-month period, including all of the first and most of the second phase of the ocean-view development.
The Bren Co. sold 11 houses during a three-week period at La Jolla Colony in Valencia. The houses are priced from $225,990 to $299,990, in the high range for the Santa Clarita Valley. The three- and four-bedroom single-family houses range in size from 1,743 to 2,616 square feet.
