The Legacy Cos. and Daon Corp. have formed a joint venture partnership to develop a $38.5-million, 250,000-square-foot twin-tower office complex in Irvine.
Known as Dupont Centre, the complex will be built at Von Karman and Dupont avenues, near the John Wayne Airport, on land acquired from the Irvine Co. Daon will move its California headquarters to the complex when it is completed in October, 1986.
DeRevere Partnership, Newport Beach, is the architect of the project, to consist of a five-story tower, an eight-story tower and a four-story, 950-space parking structure.
Construction financing was arranged with the Bank of British Columbia and First Interstate Mortgage Co. Saffell & McAdam will be the contractor. Legacy, formerly known as Aries Development, is headed by Timothy L. Strader, previously with the Koll Co.
