Low-Income Housing Campaign Under Way
About $9,000 in donations from several insurance companies kicked off the 1985-86 fund-raising program for Santa Ana Neighborhood Housing Services Inc., a nonprofit group that has distributed more than $1 million in low-interest rehabilitation loans in a westside neighborhood. The organization, which hopes to raise $150,000 this fiscal year, offers the loans to low-income residents living in an area bounded by Washington Avenue, Bristol, First and Townsend streets.
