Zoffany Scores a Three-Length Victory in Del Mar Feature Race

DEL MAR — Zoffany took a clear early lead and was never seriously challenged in winning Thursday’s $35,000 feature race at Del Mar.
Ridden by Chris McCarron, Zoffany finished three lengths in front of Pol and Dic, ridden by Fernando Toro. Bold Run, ridden by Laffit Pincay, was third, another length back.
Zoffany earned $19,250 in the race for 3-year-olds and up. He was clocked in 1:41 1/5 for 1 1/16 miles on the turf.
Sent off the second choice, Zoffany paid $7, $3.40 and $2.80; Favored Pol and Dic returned $3.20 and $2.60, and Bold Run paid $2.60 to show.
