Bolger Magic Scores Win in De Anza Stakes

DEL MAR — Heavily favored Bolger Magic led from start to finish Wednesday and easily won the $52,950 De Anza Stakes for 2-year-olds at Del Mar.

Ridden by Rafael Meza, Bolger Magic finished 3 1/2 lengths in front of Clear Choice, ridden by Laffit Pincay. Smokey Orbit, ridden by Gary Stevens, was third, another 2 lengths back.

Bolger Magic covered the six furlongs in 1:10 2/5.

Sent off the 3-5 choice, Bolger Magic paid $3.40, $2.60 and $2.10.
