Handyman Corp. reported that net income grew 32% to $2.5 million while sales fell 18% to $51 million for the 10-week period ending June 29. For the first half of 1985, Handyman reported that net income grew 67% to $5 million while sales fell 23% to $113.5 million. Company officials linked the sales decline to the closing of 21 stores in late 1984.
