Bulgaria and the Soviet Union won three gold medals each and the United States, Norway, Poland and Romania won one gold medal each as the Greco-Roman Wrestling World Championships at Kolbotn, Norway, ended after four days of competition.
Michael Houk of the United States won the 90-kilo (198-pound) class gold medal by beating favored Igor Kasygin of the Soviet Union. Houk’s victory represented the only gold medal won by Americans.
