Man Resting on Tracks Killed by Amtrak Train

NEW ORLEANS — An Amtrak passenger train decapitated a man who had rested his head on the track, police reported Sunday.
The engineer saw the man but was unable to stop the train in time, police said. The incident occurred Saturday night. Witnesses said the victim had been drinking.
