A 28-year-old North Hollywood man was stabbed to death early Sunday while waiting for his wife to finish work at a bar in Pacoima, police said.
The body of Andres Escobar Lopez, 28, a Salvadoran national, was discovered shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday, according to homicide investigator Al Ferrand. A security guard found Lopez in the parking lot of the El Paseo Bar on Van Nuys Boulevard with a stab wound in his upper body, Ferrand said.
Lopez’s wife, a waitress at the bar, told police her husband had come to pick her up from work. Police said that robbery may have been a motive in the stabbing and that they have no suspect.
