Pacific Lighting expects “flat” earnings this year.

The parent of Southern California Gas earned $138.6 million last year on revenue of $4.85 billion, but 1985 earnings will include a non-recurring write-off of about $60 million, representing investment in the terminated Great Plains coal gasification project. This will result in a third-quarter loss, officials said.
