Cousins Home Furnishings completed a previously announced equity investment package that includes $6 million from Warburg, Pincus Capital Partners L.P., and $1 million from Brunton Corp., the principal shareholder of Cousins. Sidney Lapidus, a managing director of Warburg, was elected a director of Cousins. Cousins, which operates the Brick Warehouse retail furniture chain, is closing a Sacramento building and consolidating its Northern California distribution operations in a 400,000-square-foot building in Hayward.
