Thank you, ESPN, for “Spirit of Excellence,” your replays of the 1984 Summer Olympics. My husband and I were volunteers who trained the athletes on a special computer programmed for the Olympics. Your broadcasts brought back memories as they showed the great Olympians from all over the world. Meeting athletes from around the world was a reward for us, and the “Spirit of Excellence” showed us so many we met.
