Fullerton : Caltrans to Close Some Ramps on 91 Freeway
- Share via
The Magnolia Street on-ramp to the eastbound Riverside Freeway will be closed for as long as three months beginning Tuesday as work begins on a $3-million construction project.
Other ramps between Magnolia and Tustin Avenue will have to be closed during the project, but usually only for brief periods between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., said Caltrans spokeswoman Margie Tiritilli. The work involves the installation of auxiliary ramp lanes between Glassell Street and Tustin Avenue, replacement of the median barrier between Kraemer Boulevard and Tustin Avenue and the installation of ramp meters.
Much of the work will be done at night so that disruption of freeway traffic will be minimal, she said. The entire project is expected to be completed in June, 1986.
