Viewpoint / Letters : A Slap in the Face From Cub Management
- Share via
That the management of the Chicago Cubs would slap the players, the fans and the neighborhood surrounding Wrigley Field in the face by declaring its intention to play potential postseason games away from home is unconscionable and flies in the face of what baseball is all about.
That there is only one major league park without lights is no reason for a team to abandon its fans and city. I hope the fans of Chicago continue to pull for their Cubs and that they let out a cry of outrage that can be heard all the way to the ivory towers of the commissioner’s office in New York.
