A 31-year-old transient was arrested in connection with the firebombing of the state Capitol last fall and a series of other arson fires in the Sacramento area. Police said the suspect, Henry Freeman, was arrested fleeing the scene of a burglarized market. Sacramento Police Chief Jack Kearns said Freeman is a suspect in the Capitol firebombing last Oct. 17 in which a hooded man tossed a can of gasoline through a window into the museum section of the building. The fire caused about $30,000 damage.
