McDonnell Douglas has a new parts refund policy.

In the new policy, McDonnell Douglas said the Pentagon “can return any covered spare part or piece of support equipment if there is any dissatisfaction with its cost--no questions asked.” The unusual policy is part of a continuing effort to hold down prices of spare parts, the St. Louis-based aerospace firm said. The policy specifies that the Defense Department can return any unused part built by McDonnell within six months of delivery.
