A Sunnyvale man was arrested in an arson investigation into the Lexington Reservoir fire, which destroyed 42 homes and charred 13,000 acres in the rugged hills near Los Gatos earlier this month, fire authorities said. Melvin James Lovejoy, 23, is being held in connection with the blaze, which caused $7-million damage, fire officials said. The blaze forced the evacuation of 4,500 people from 2,500 homes and burned out of control until July 20.
