Anti-war activist Daniel Ellsberg surrendered to federal marshals in San Francisco to begin serving a two-day jail sentence at a halfway house for disturbing the peace during a May 7 demonstration. He was arrested during a protest of American policies in Central America staged on the steps of the Federal Building in San Francisco.
