The body of a stillborn baby was discovered in a trash bin behind a Ralphs supermarket on Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks, authorities said.
The body, with placenta and umbilical cord attached, was found Thursday night by a man who was rummaging in the trash, said Joe Phillips, supermarket manager.
An autopsy by the Ventura County coroner’s office indicated that the boy was born one or two hours before the body was found. The report said the baby was close to full term and weighed 5 pounds, 3 ounces.
