The incoming president of the American Medical Assn., which opposes smoking, acknowledged that he and another top AMA official own a 293-acre Georgia farm on which about seven acres of tobacco is grown. “I feel that, the issue being raised, I will certainly have to look at it and decide what to do about it,” Dr. Harrison L. Rogers Jr. said in Chicago. Rogers said that he and AMA trustee Dr. F. William Dowda, both of Atlanta, together invested in the land 15 years ago.
