Paid Job Training Offered Those 14-21 in Long Beach Area

Immediate openings for qualified Long Beach area youths ages 14 to 21 who are interested in learning a skill while earning a salary and high school credit are available through the San Pedro/Wilmington Skills Center, 36th and Gaffey streets, San Pedro.
Students may earn $3.35 per hour of classroom training while enrolled in the following classes: auto mechanics, electronics, emergency medical technician, retail cashiering, banking and office occupations. Free bus transportation to the center will be provided.
Applications may be obtained by calling the center from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 831-0295 or the Hutch Youth Center in Long Beach at 595-7665.
