Santa Monica : Planning Panel Delays Vote on Car Dealership
- Share via
The Planning Commission postponed until June 17 a decision on whether to allow Kramer Motors Inc. to build a four-story dealership at Santa Monica Boulevard and 18th Street.
The construction of auto dealerships on Santa Monica Boulevard is encouraged by the city’s new land-use plan, but residents have complained that the proposed 60,804-square-foot facility would disrupt the neighborhood. They argue that the land-use-plan also contains clauses that require auto dealers to make concessions to the neighborhood.
Kramer, one of the largest auto dealerships in Santa Monica, asked for the continuance.
