An Encino man was killed Friday morning when his car was broadsided by a pickup truck at the intersection of Ventura Boulevard and Petit Avenue in Encino, Los Angeles police said.
Harry Garfield, 72, died in the 7 a.m. collision with the truck, driven by Anthony Dellisario, 22, of Sherman Oaks, police said. Investigators could not immediately determine which vehicle failed to stop for a red light at the intersection, Sgt. Jay Taylor said.
Dellisario was treated for bruises and cuts and released from Rancho Encino Community Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.
