WASHINGTON — Secretary of State George P. Shultz, attending the Western economic summit in West Germany, said today that he will seek specific suggestions for another summit--between President Reagan and Soviet leader Mikhail S. Gorbachev--when he meets with Foreign Minister Andrei A. Gromyko this month.
Asked about his mid-May meeting with Gromyko in Vienna, Shultz said, “I’ll be interested to see if he has any thoughts on time and place and agenda.”
Shultz said “any time is all right” for the formal meeting but “the President is saying he’ll be glad to meet with him at the time he comes to the United Nations, if he comes to the U.N.”
