Bergen Brunswig to Expand Its Markets

Bergen Brunswig has signed an agreement to acquire the pharmaceutical distribution operations of Davis Bros. Drug Co. of Denver for an undisclosed amount of cash, Bergen said. Davis’ pharmaceutical distribution sales are $110 million annually, according to Bergen.
Closing of the deal, subject to regulatory approval, is set for the end of May. Bergen is a diversified health-service and consumer products distribution organization headquartered in Los Angeles.
