FOLLOW THE BOYS--George Maharis and Martin Milner may return to CBS in a “Route 66” sequel--facing male menopause in a Corvette.
Herbert Leonard, who produced four seasons of the series in the early ‘60s, has a script from Josh Greenfield for a two-hour movie, “Route 66--On the Road Again,” which CBS is considering. This time out, Buz (the Maharis character), a bankrupt used-car salesman, tries to borrow money from Tod (Milner), a four-times-divorced Beverly Hills multimillionaire. Instead, they take off in a stolen Corvette to relive their salad days. Among other things, they end up working in a fast-food joint dressed in chicken outfits.
