Man Injured in Fall Down Embankment

A 20-year-old Whittier man was in fair condition Saturday night in Fountain Valley Community Hospital after falling 20 feet down an embankment in the Pirate’s Cove area of Corona del Mar earlier in the day.
According to hospital officials, Richard Hever suffered internal injuries and was airlifted from the site near the beach by a Life Flight helicopter from Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.
