USIU Signs Two Basketball Players

SAN DIEGO — The U.S. International women’s basketball has signed two players to letters of intent--6-foot forward Koi Wooten and 5-7 guard Yvonne Sanchez.
Wooten averaged 19.5 points and 14 rebounds a game for Palomar College last season. Sanchez attended El Dorado High School in Albuquerque, where she averaged 19.5 points and 4.2 assists and was 4-A player of the year. Sanchez, who was New Mexico’s Player of the Year as a junior, led El Dorado to a 74-1 record during her three varsity seasons.
