The Fullerton Planning Commission will consider the city’s five-year capital improvement program when it meets Wednesday at 4 p.m.
According to Budget Manager Jaclyn Lewis, the five-year plan outlines estimated expenditures for both long- and short-term projects involving land use, circulation and transportation, community health and safety, resource management and major maintenance and equipment items.
Some of the projects under consideration include a 37-acre redevelopment project at the corner of Orangethorpe Avenue and Harbor Boulevard and a reconstruction and resurfacing project on Euclid Street between Malvern and Commonwealth avenues.
First-year expenditure projections will be incorporated into the city’s operating budget under the capital improvements section. Lewis said that although these projections are subject to change over the five-year period, they serve as an essential guide for city planners.
